Is it ok to link out to a non-accessible website?
Question
Under the regulations for public sector bodies, can I link to an external website that isn't accessible itself? What are the WCAG 2.1 AA rules on this?
Answer
When reviewing a website for WCAG conformance, it is not required to check the accessibility of the destination of external links. You could provide information in your accessibility statement that the site links to external sites that have not been evaluated for accessibility, but this is not required.
