Scan behind logins and much more with Configured Scanning

If your platform sits behind a login, you may have run into this. You sign up for Accessible Web RAMP, add your digital property, and the scan stops at the sign-in screen. The same goes for the age-verification pop-up on an alcohol site or a cookie banner covering the page. Until now, RAMP couldn’t get past any of them.

Configured Scanning changes that. Show RAMP how to get in once, and it follows the same steps every time it scans.

What you can do with Configured Scanning

  • Scan web applications and other pages that require a login.
  • Get past age-verification pop-ups, cookie banners, and other steps a visitor has to take before they see your content.
  • Set up to three configurations per digital property. Use one for your login page and another for the pages behind it, then choose which profile each page uses.
  • Know RAMP is actually getting in. Every configuration has a health check that confirms RAMP reached the right page. If it didn’t, for example because RAMP got signed out or a cookie banner came back, your organization’s admins get an email, and RAMP holds off on scanning those pages until you update the configuration.

Set it up yourself, right in RAMP

RAMP gives you a browser view inside the app. Sign in, close the pop-up, or accept the banner the way you normally would, and RAMP records each step. You can review and edit your steps before you save.

One tip: use test credentials for setup, not your personal or admin login.
