If only 3rd party tools have accessibility issues, does my website conform to WCAG?

Question

My website has 3rd party tools that have accessibility issues I can't control. Can my website still conform to WCAG?

Answer

Ultimately, you can only partially conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines if your website uses 3rd party tools with accessibility issues. If you want to claim partial conformance, but your website uses 3rd party tools with accessibility issues and cannot find an accessible alternative, you must ensure all other content on your website conforms to WCAG.

To achieve full conformance with WCAG, all applicable content and 3rd party tools on your website must comply with the WCAG success criteria.

A full website accessibility audit that includes manual and UX testing can help you find, document, and fix issues that prevent your website from fully conforming to WCAG.
