Complex images, such as infographics, charts, and maps, can be hard, or impossible, for some people to perceive because the relationships between data or concepts are visually presented. If you are going to use a complex image, you must provide a long description of its contents in addition to its basic alternative text so that users with low or no vision, for instance, will be able to perceive the visual information in the image through text instead.
