Meet Bot Actions — the new feature in Pro and Pro+ plans that will allow users to scan behind:
- logins,
- passwords,
- cookie banners,
- age restriction modals, and more.
Bot Actions allow you to set up a sequence to tell our bot how to properly access and set up a page for discovery or scanning.
This article will cover:
Create a New Bot Action Using Sequence Builder
For sites with advanced configurations, you’ll need to set up bot actions to scan behind passwords, logins, newsletter modals, cookie banners, age restrictions, and other similar custom configurations.
The key to Bot Actions is to mimic the steps you would take to access your site, step by step.

- Select a website from your website list in RAMP. (The list is located at the top right corner of your browser window.)
- Navigate to RAMP Settings at the bottom of the left navigation bar, then to Automated Scanning.
- If your site requires HTTP authentication, enter the credentials first.
- Select Set Up to start your first Bot Action
- Use “Add Step +” to add the steps our bot should perform to access your site. You can choose “check condition” to identify status codes, redirected page URLs, and other elements. Or you can choose “perform action” to tell the bot to wait, fill out form fields, click, submit form, go to page, and stop.
Bot Actions sequence builder example
For example, if your website has a modal that requires the user to confirm their age to unlock access, your sequence could look like the following.
- Start – Navigate to page URL.
- Check Condition – If an element matching selector “age-popup“ exists,
- Perform Action – Click the element with selector “confirm-yes,”
- End – Finish sequence.
