The Accessible Canada Act was passed and became law in 2019.

The ACA applies to all organizations under federal Canadian jurisdiction. This includes federally regulated private sector organizations, such as banks and financial institutions, Crown Corporations owned by the Federal Government, government departments and agencies. Also included are third-party vendors that engage with or provide digital services to comply with the ACA.
